CALVIN WINBUSH

Hailing from Detroit,MI Calvin Winbush is a multi-instrumentalist who uses singing and rapping interchangeably in his songs, blending genres from Hip-Hop, Motown, Alternative Rock and  Pop. Picking up his first instrument - the saxophone - in 3rd grade, Calvin found his talent early on. Winning several awards and scholarships, he then went on to learn Piano, Guitar, Bass and Drums.

His early influences were Prince, and Michael Jackson as well as two very contrasting groups he fell in love with at the same time: "I remember going through my Dad's cd collection when he was at work and stumbling across Old Dirty Bastard's Escape from the 36 chambers and Beatles Anthology and playing both of them until they were too scratched up to play. As different as those pieces of work are, I feel they both set me on a great course as a songwriter and artist. Pushing boundaries of the craft and fearless self expression are staples of both projects."

Calvin is currently touring while writing and recording for himself as well as many other talented artist.
